If a bigot town was hit by a huge tornado, how many people would care?

Let's say you are gay, mexican, indian, asian or whatever and EVERY ONE in a sourthern town acted hostile to you. They will make death threats at you and even burglarize your home. They finally manage to kick you out of their town. If days later, a tornado hit their town and destroyed everything, would you care? Think about this, a person has a right to hate.....BUT....what if they take matters in their hands like trying kill you or threaten your loves ones in order to get you the heck out of their town. If their town gets hit by a natural disaster, would you care?
