Dead Tooth Pain, I don't know if i should call oral surgeon emergency line?

I have 3 Teeth that need to be pulled, 2 don't even have a top part, 1 is chipped in half, the back one is half there, the root, but fully visable, the other is half or less there, and it looks like the gum is growing over it...in just a 2wk period after the top part fell off, I have dentist fear, that is why I don't go often, i've left messages w/ the oral surgeon over the weekend, didn't call the emergency line w/ them....yet...but I'm thinking about it, just to get some codene for the pain atleast...2 of my sister have the same problem w/ there teeth, is bad teeth hereditary? and why am i in so much pain, becuase the gum is growing over it? should I call the emergency line to get my drugs?
