Can burning galvanized surfaces with a propane torch extract the toxins in the metal?

I am building a dutch oven (cajun microwave) from wood and intend to use galvanized sheeting to for the charcoal pan and the drip pan. Can I simply burn the toxins out of the metal with a bernz-o-matic propane torch.
